Chase Hopewell Season 2022

2023 Season: Made 15 starts on the mound with a 2-6 record and 5.79 ERA… Led the staff in starts (15), innings pitched (65.1), strikeouts (52) and runners picked off (4)… Started eight games in conference play… Struck out a season-high six batters three times: Princeton (March 18), Memphis (April 7) and Tulane (April 22)… Went three shutout innings in start against Houston (May 18)… Eclipsed 100 career strikeouts while picking up his second win of the season at USF (April 29)… Picked up his first win as a Bearcat versus Butler (March 25)… Tossed 5.1 innings against North Alabama (March 5), allowing just one run on five hits and striking out four batters… Went four innings and struck out four batters in first career start for the Bearcats in win at Georgia State (Feb. 19).

2022 Season: Pitched in 13 games, all out of the bullpen ... struck out 11 batters in 13.1 IP with an 0-1 record ... notched his 50th collegiate strikeout at FGCU (2/20) ... tossed a season-high 2.2 innings vs Xavier (3/30) ... picked up first career save against Wright State (4/6)

2021 Season (Findlay): Appeared in 11 games, posting a 7.02 ERA and 1-4 record ... struck out 46 batters in 41.0 innings of work.

2020 Season (Findlay): Appeared in and started 1 game ... season ended early due to COVID-19.

Prior to UC: Attended Findlay University in Findlay, OH, where he played Division II baseball in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference ... played baseball at Stephen T. Badin High School.
