Swim To Host First Fall Meet of the 2021-22 Season

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving team welcomes the University of Indianapolis for their first official meet of the 2021-22 on Friday, October 22nd in Keating Aquatics Center. Diving will start at 1:00 p.m. ET and swimming will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET.

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving team welcomes the University of Indianapolis for their first official meet of the 2021-22 on Friday, October 22nd in Keating Aquatics Center. Diving will start at 1:00 p.m. ET and swimming will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET.

The Bearcats welcome 17 freshman to this years squad and return 38 from last season.

The meet is free and open to the public thanks to Experience UC. 

Masks are required to be worn at all times regardless of vaccination status while indoors.

LOOKING BACK ON 2020-21
The 2020-21 season was an unprecedented year due to COVID-19. The Bearcats only participated in two regular season races, hosting Xavier (M: W, 146-106 | W: W, 153-94) and competing at Louisville (M: L, 185-75; W: L, 165-91)

At the 2021 American Athletic Conference Championships, the men's swimming and diving team earned a runner-up finish while the women's team took third for the second year in a row. Six records were broken at the Championships.

Along with the regular swim season, four current student-athletes qualified to race at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials Wave I in Omaha, Nebraska. Blake Hanna  highlighted the group after finishing in second in the 200 meter backstroke event and punching his ticket to the wave ll finals. Connor Funke, Kevin Liebold and Hunter Gubeno all competed in the Wave I event.
