CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati Athletic Department announced on Thursday a new Fan Transparency Plan, which includes changes to football ticketing processes and pricing for 2022 and beyond.

In order to ensure Cincinnati Athletics is ready to compete at the highest level with its soon-to-be Big 12 peers, Bearcats' football ticket prices will increase in 2022 as additional resources are required to continue the pursuit of championships.

A majority of Nippert Stadium seats will see a 7% to 20% increase in season ticket prices based on location, coming in line with standard price levels across the Big 12. In some instances, ticket prices in some zones will decrease based on new section mapping.

Still, with prices as low as $175 for six games at Nippert Stadium, including a Sept. 24 matchup with Indiana, the 2022 season ticket plans present an incredible value for fans to support one of the nation's top football programs. The Bearcats are currently ranked No. 2 in the country and show no signs of slowing down under fifth-year head coach Luke Fickell.

Other benefits of the new ticket process:
  • Guarantee same seat for all 6 home games
  • Ability to transfer tickets
  • Ability to resell tickets with StubHub integration
  • Dedicated Account Representative for all ticket related issues
  • Take advantage of flexible billing plan upon renewal
  • Option to add season parking pass
  • Ability to purchase discounted single game Scholarship Club seats
  • Access to exclusive season ticket holder experiences
  • Away game ticket priority including marquee non-conference opponents, such as Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark., and Miami (OH) at Paul Brown Stadium
  • Post-season ticket priority

This is the first price change in more than six years for football season tickets, which had remained flat since 2015.

"We need to be 'Day One Ready' to move to the Big 12 Conference," Deputy Director of Athletics Anthony Di Fino said. "As a part of the process, we had to evaluate our long-range plans to support our student-athletes and programs. What we found, was in order to compete at the highest level in a more competitive conference, we need to be transparent with our fans about the need to invest in resources that will help us maintain our competitive edge. Cincinnati football season ticket interest is at an all-time high and with teams like West Virginia, Oklahoma State and Iowa State expected to travel to Nippert Stadium in the coming years, demand for tickets will only increase. These changes to our ticket pricing will modernize many of our processes, but ultimately remain affordable and give everyone in our community access to cheer on the Bearcats."

The new Fan Transparency Plan also includes extended payment plans to give fans the option to budget in monthly installments and a new renewal timeline, which will start in late October or November moving forward with a deadline of Feb. 28.

Single game ticket prices will also increase, ensuring season ticket holders retain the most value for their loyalty and support. The dynamic pricing model will continue for single-game tickets with prices changing based on demand and inventory available, while UCATS members will retain their benefit of discounted single-game prices.

In addition, a new simplified Priority Point System for UCATS members will be introduced. Fans indicated that the red and black point system was overly complicated and needed a refresh. The new system will consolidate 'red' and 'black' points. Learn more about the new Priority Point System here.

Fans will have the opportunity to upgrade or move their seats as part a new seat selection/upgrade process that will happen immediately after the renewal deadline, based on priority points.
