COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team fell to Ohio State 50-86 Saturday evening at the Covelli Center in Columbus, Ohio.
The Bearcats shot 63% from the free throw line, going 10-for-16. Sophomore Jillian Hayes led the way with 16 points. The Bearcats move to 3-3 on the season.
UC fell behind early with OSU going on a 9-0 run before junior forward Jadyn Scott got the first points for the Bearcats.
The Bearcats outscored the Buckeyes 15 to 14 in the second quarter, highlighted by back-to-back threes by junior point guard Akira Levy and freshman guard Braylyn Milton. Hayes had a team leading six points with two layups and two made free throws in the quarter.
