LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Cincinnati Track and Field teams have wrapped up a successful weekend of competition at the Jim Green Invitational.
The women's team finished the meet with three first place finishes, including the 3,000m run where Ellie Leather set a school record by over 10 seconds with a time of 9:30.10. The other two wins came in the triple jump and long jump from Kennedy Marable and Anaya Dees, respectively.
PERFORMANCES TO NOTE
Women's Triple Jump:
Kennedy Marable started off the day with a first-place finish for the Bearcats with a jump of 12.58m (41-03.25). Teammate Anaya Dees earned second place with a 12.21m (40-0.75) jump. The two jumpers have earned a first-place finish for Cincinnati in every long jump and triple jump event so far this season.

Men's Mile:
The bearcats took three of the top five spots in the men's mile run, with Tyler Wirth coming second in 4:06.81. His time puts him fourth all-time in the Cincinnati men's indoor mile. He was followed by Jonathan Harley in 3rd with 4:08.7 and Matt Hoak, fifth in 4:11.36.
Women's 3000m Run:
Ellie Leather took first in the 3000m run and set a school record by ten seconds with a time of 9:30.10. This was her first race of the indoor season and shows a lot of promise for the rest of her track career at Cincinnati.

Men's Pole Vault:
Austin Goolsby and Justin Abrams both set their own personal records in this weekend. Goolsby took second place with a mark of 5.17m (16-11.50), just shy of that 17-foot mark. Abrams took sixth with a mark of 4.87m (15-11.75).

The Bearcats track and field teams will head to Bloomington, Indiana to compete in the Gladstein Invitational Jan. 21-22.
