LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Cincinnati swim and dive squads lost two hard fought battles on Friday afternoon to the University of Kentucky. The men's team lost by a score of 201-98 and the women's team by a score of 250-48.
The University of Kentucky honored their graduating seniors with a ceremony before the meet.

TOP FINISHERS
- The first podium finish of the day for the Bearcats came when the men's 400-yard relay team of senior Blake Hanna, senior Dom Polling, junior Michael Balcerak and senior Murat Sagdullaev finished second with a 3:18.10.
- Freshman Meghan Fleury finished with a new season-best in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.35 and another new season-best in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:07.78.
- Sophomore Ricky Williams clocked a 9:40.75 in the 1000-yard freestyle for a new season-best.
- Polling earned first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 55.96.
- Hanna and sophomore Hunter Gubeno grabbed a one-two finish for the Bearcats with time of 49.37 and 49.74 in the 100-yard backstroke. Sophomore Alex Gonzalez picked up a new personal best in this event.
NOTABLE RESULTS
- Balcerak finished 2nd in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:39.02.
- Sophomore Tommy Eaton and junior Mohamed Abdelbaky finish second and third with times of 1:48.24 and 1:50.55 in the 200-yard butterfly.
- Sophomore Jessica Davis finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.08.
- Gubeno finished third with a new season and personal-best in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.28.
- Hanna won the 200-yard backstroke clocking in with a 1:46.82.
- Polling (2:02.41) and junior Spencer Sehlhorst (2:08.94) picked up points in the 200-yard breaststroke when they finished second and third.
- Senior Riley Dafoe finished second and with a new season-best in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:34.26.
- Junior Katherine Connolly beat her old season-best by two seconds in the 100-yard butterfly when she finished third with a time of 57.78.
- Balcerak (49.28) and sophomore Tommy Eaton (49.72) finished second and third in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Sehlhorst and Gubeno finished second and third in the 400-yard IM with times of 3:59.68 and 4:01.79.
- Graduate student Maddie Exton, sophomore Jessica Davis, freshman Kaylee Nagel and senior Molly Chelovitz competed in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay and finished third with a time of 1:36.27.
- In the men's 200-yard freestyle relay, Polling, Hanna, Abdelbaky and Balcerak finished in second with a time of 1:22.45
