TicketsLouisville, Ky. – The second day of the Clark Wood Invitational has ended with four more Bearcats on the podium. This was led by Carmela Henning and Caitlyn Walsh at the top of the podium in the 3000-meter run.
PERFORMANCES OF NOTE
Women's 3000-meter Run:
Henning and Walsh led the 3000-meter run to finish the race in the top two positions. Henning finished the race in 10:23.49 followed by Walsh in 10:31.14.
Women's High Jump:
Kinley jumped a personal best of the outdoor season with her second-place finish in Louisville. Her mark of 1.76m (5' 9.25") only took second place based on a miss at an earlier height, as she and the winner of the event both jumped 1.76m.
Women's 100-meter Hurdles:
Straus took third place in the final of the 100-meter hurdles with her time of 13.95. She ran a 14.11 to qualify in seventh place in the preliminary round of the event and was able to make up four places in the final.
NEXT UP
The UC Track and Field team will travel to the Billy Hayes Invitational, hosted by the University of Indiana in Bloomington, Ind. next Friday, May 6.
