The University of Cincinnati athletics department's Bearcats Agency has announced that Eichel Davis has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Creative Videography, as well as five other new hires.

CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati athletics department's Bearcats Agency has announced that Eichel Davis has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Creative Videography, as well as five other new hires.

"In less than a year, Eichel had a tremendous impact on The Agency and the whole athletics department. Eichel's leadership, creativity, organization and videography skills have made him a valued member of our external team. Eichel never settles, and his work ethic pushes our whole staff to be better."

Davis was previously held the role of Director of Creative Video. Among his highlights include the development of Emmy-winning "Let It Fly," co-produced with football's Kelsey Sharkey. The first season was a hit among fans, accumulating more than 100,000 views, nearly 900,000 minutes watched, and more than one million impressions, and the second season is underway as well.
Davis is a St. Louis native and 2018 graduate of Mizzou. He previously spent three years as a social media and creative video producer for TCU Athletics and Learfield before joining UC in Summer 2021.
The agency comprises of nine full-time staff members and three graduate assistant/junior positions as well as countless undergraduate interns. The main @GoBEARCATS Twitter account was No. 1 nationally in engagements during the fall season, with the Instagram page leading the nation in growth (new followers) during the 2021-22 school year by a substantial margin.
Along with print partner Graphic Village, the Bearcats and Chief Creative Officer Dan Phillips were recognized by the Graphic Media Alliance Annual Print Excellence Awards, earning Gold for poster art celebrating the College Football Playoff appearance. Additionally, the 2021 football season limited-edition metallic poster series earned a People's Choice Award.
As a whole, all team accounts added more than 133,000 followers during the athletic season and generated nearly 29 million video views. In total, social media posts were seen 329 million times. The men's basketball Twitter and Instagram pages led the AAC in growth for the 2021-22 regular season as well.
