"We are excited to get. back out there in a completive environment and see not only our fitness is, but where our racing instincts and race preparedness is at," Men's Cross Country Coach Lucas Rothenberger said.
The Bearcats have 19 runners returning for another season and a slew of newcomers that are expected to have a big impact.
The women's team is bringing back three out of the top five scorers from last year's American Athletic Conference Championships, including senior Maddie Walker, who placed fifth overall with a time of 21:30.6 in the 6k race.
"They have done great job of transitioning into this new season of change, and I think a lot of them are going to surprise themselves with how they compete on Saturday," Assistant Cross Country Coach Sarah Anderson said.
The men's team is bringing back four of their top five scorers from last year's AAC Cross Country Championships, including senior Tyler Wirth who placed eighth overall with a time of 24:34.3 in the 8k race.
