CINCINNATI  –  Cincinnati football head coach Scott Satterfield announced his first Signing Class on Wednesday. The Bearcats inked 11 high school prospects and four college transfers.

The prep portion of the class features state champions, captains and all-state honorees as well as four in-state Ohio high school stars and five four-star-rated athletes, including safety Jayden Davis (Suwanee, Ga. / Collins Hills), who had two interceptions in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl all-star game last week.

Quarterback Emory Jones (La Grange, Ga. / Arizona State / Florida) leads a group of standout transfers. A former starter at Florida and Arizona State, Jones has passed for 4,880 yards and 33 touchdowns over 45 career games. In 2021, he passed for 2,734 yards and rushed for 758 yards, while scoring 23 total touchdowns, for the Gators.

Also featured in the group are former Louisville impact players, offensive lineman Luke Kandra (Cincinnati, Ohio / Elder) and linebacker Dorian Jones (Plantation, Fla. / American Heritage). Former Penn offensive lineman Trevor Radosevich joins the Bearcats after an all-conference career for the Quakers.

Satterfield and his staff will continue to recruit and focus on building the roster through the transfer portal over the next few weeks.

"First of all, for me, it's obviously exciting, the first signing day for us here," Satterfield said. "It's been a whirlwind the last two and a half weeks, building out staff and continuing to do that…I think for us, it's been trying to get quality players in here, quality people. I think that and we've been able to accomplish that today with this signing class. We've got some high school players, and we've also got some guys out of the portal that I think will certainly help us, hopefully immediately, and then we're not done. I think that's probably the biggest message. We're going to continue recruiting. I don't think you've ever really done recruiting. I think you have to recruit all the time, and we're just excited about it. I'm just ready to go. Our whole focus is trying to find players to come in here to help us compete in the Big 12."
