CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team fell to Wichita State 4-0 inside Western Athletic Club on Friday.
Cincinnati is now 6-12 overall, 0-3 in the AAC on the season.
Wichita State secured an early advantage by taking the initial point with doubles victories on courts two and three. Five of the six singles courts were pushed to a third set, but the Shockers took three more courts in singles for the match win.
Sophomore Callie Flanagan was leading in the third set on court five, 5-2, while freshman Elizabeth Pendergast and redshirt junior Cassie McLay were tied in their matches when the cliniching court was decided.
Cincinnati will be back in action tomorrow for a Senior Day contest with DePaul inside Western Athletic Club at 3:30 p.m. ET.
