CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati volleyball head coach Molly Alvey announced four additions to the 2023 class.
Jadyn Bauss, Lilian Entenmann, Vivian Campbell and Kayla Hostetler will compete for the Bearcats this fall.
The quartet joins UC's incoming class that features transfers Carly Skrabak and Katelyn Lefler and incoming freshmen Nina Horning and Zeta Washington.
// JADYN BAUSS
Bauss, a six-foot outside hitter, joins the Bearcats from SMU where she appeared in 98 career matches across 334 sets. She totaled 752 kills, 899 digs, 80 aces, 66.5 blocks and 26 double-doubles in four years with the Mustangs.
Bauss appeared in 31 matches across 101 sets as a senior. She was a two-time American Athletic Conference (AAC) weekly honor roll selection and finished fourth in the AAC in service aces (36) in 2022.
The Frisco, Texas native was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Reedy High School and played club for Dallas Premier.
// LILIAN ENTENMANN
Entenmann, a 6-foot-1 middle blocker, was a four-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball at Upper Arlington in Columbus, Ohio. She was named First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region. She earned team MVP honors, as well.
The Columbus native played club for Mintonette Sports where she secured a bid for Nationals.
// VIVIAN CAMPBELL
Campbell, a 5-foot-10 setter, was named First Team All-State, AVCA All-Region and AVCA All-America Honorable Mention at Oswego East. She led the Tigers to a program-best 27 wins as a senior. The program captured its first-ever first-place conference finish and regional championship in 2022.
The Oswego, Ill., product played club volleyball for 1st Alliance.
// KAYLA HOSTETLER
Hostetler, a 5-foot-6 libero, was a three-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball at Notre Dame Academy in Kentucky.
She was a two-time KHSAA state and regional champion as well as a three-time district champion. She led team with 245 service aces as a senior and was second on the squad with 299 service aces as a junior.
The Hebron, Ky., native played club for NKYVC where she placed second at USAV 17s Nationals. She was named to the All-Tournament Team for the event.
