CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women's tennis head coach Eric Toth announced the signings of Milica Popovski and transfer Zeynep Erman on Wednesday. Both are set to compete for the Bearcats next fall.

"I am excited for Zeynep and Milica to begin competing at UC beginning in the fall," Toth said. "Milica has competed on the ITF Junior World Circuit admirably. She will thrive in our program at UC. Zeynep has been here since January. She has proven to be a very good teammate. It is obvious from observing and coaching her every day at practice that she is going to really help our team in her final season of collegiate tennis. As we continue to transition and grow into the Big 12 conference, both Zeynep and Milica are going to be important pieces to our program."

Popovski is from Pancevo, Serbia. She's currently ranked No. 409 in the ITF Junior World Rankings and sixth in the Serbian Senior Rankings. Popovski has had immense success at the Serbian junior level. The Serbian native was a runner-up at the Serbian Junior National Championships. She is a two-time runner-up in the Junior ITF performances (ITF J30/J60) and also obtained six Junior ITF Doubles Titles.

Erman spent four years at Syracuse where she compiled a 23-25 singles record and a 41-46 overall record while competing for the Orange. She also reached the Top 100 ITA Rankings in both singles and doubles during her time in New York.

Last season, Erman had an impressive victory, defeating national No. 8 Alexa Noel from No. 23 Miami with a score of 6-4, 6-3. Erman also advanced to the quarterfinals at the Army Invitational, achieving a perfect 5-0 record in No. 2 singles last fall.
