CINCINNATI – Four and a half months later, the Cincinnati men's golf team is set to tee off its spring campaign Monday at the Colleton River Collegiate in Bluffton, S.C.

"I am excited to get the spring season started and our return to competitive golf," head coach Doug Martin said. "I thought our offseason was very productive. I was extremely pleased with what we accomplished in November working on some very specific things that we needed to correct from the fall. When the players returned from Christmas break, we had three great practice trips to prepare the team for our spring schedule."

Free live-streaming for the two-day event, held at Colleton River's Nicklaus Course, is available here. Cincinnati is No. 62 in the latest rankings. Competing teams include host Michigan State, No. 46 Indiana, Minnesota, Penn State, Rutgers, No. 34 Missouri, Georgia Southern, Memphis, Iowa State, Kansas State, Middle Tennessee, Howard and Chattanooga.

Ty Gingerich, Rylan Wotherspoon, William McDonald, Ryan Ford and Connor McNeely will compete on the team scorecard, while Jackson Finney is traveling as an individual.

McNeely's first semester at Cincinnati saw him lead the Bearcats with a 70.42 stroke average, and his second-place finish at the team's home tournament was an individual-best for the fall. Wotherspoon (71.92) followed, and Ryan Ford was third with a 72.67.

As a team, UC finished in the top-five in three of its four tournaments. It also won a pair of Big 12 Match Play events in Texas (Oct. 9-11).

"We are very familiar with Colleton River's challenges and what it takes to play well," Martin said. "The field is excellent and will be a great challenge for us starting the spring season."
