BLUFFTON, S.C. – The Cincinnati men's golf team is ninth with 3-6 holes left in its second round at the Colleton River Collegiate.

Play will resume at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.

"Overall today, we looked like we hadn't played competitive golf for three months," head coach Doug Martin said. "It took us some time to get started and comfortable. I was very frustrated with some of our execution today. We have spent the last four months on execution and doing the simple things well. That wasn't the case today. Tomorrow is a new day and opportunity to compete. I was very pleased with Ty and Ryan's performance today.

Ryan Ford is leading the field with an 8-under that included a 5-under 67 to start, a season-low. He has just one bogey through his 33 holes. Ty Gingerich is second on the team and 14th overall after producing a 4-under so far.

Gingerich's 70 in the opening round of the fall finale continue a great trend for him, as these two first rounds were 4-5 strokes better than the first three tournaments. Ford's best finish of the last semester was a tie for 19th to close out the Quail Valley Collegiate.
