CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati men's basketball team will play at Villanova on Tuesday, Dec. 3 in its edition of the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle.
The Battle matchups, which feature five Sweet 16 teams and seven ranked in the final AP poll, are jointly determined by the two conferences, with the home team choosing the venue of its game. Broadcast arrangements for the contests will be determined by the national television rights holder of the home team, which is FOX Sports for the BIG EAST and ESPN for the Big 12.
Villanova leads the all-time series 6-4, with nine of those happening as BIG EAST foes (2006-13) and another in 1947. Cincinnati has claimed the last three, most recently a 68-50 home win in 2013 where JaQuon Parker and Sean Kilpatrick each scored 19 points. With the exception of Xavier, which UC will host this season, it is the Bearcats' first matchup with the league since Butler in 2015-16.
Season ticket renewals for Year 2 of the Big 12 are available now through May 24 here.
