FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Connor McNeely had the best round for Cincinnati in Saturday's action with a 3-over 74, and the men's golf team is 12th heading into Sunday's final round of the Mason Rudolph Championship.
McNeely finished strong with three birdies over his final four holes, tying for 35th so far to lead the team. He was UC's top performer in five of the seven tournaments so far.
Ryan Ford and William McDonald are tied for 50th. Ty Gingerich is tied for 58th after previously being matched with McNeely and McDonald on Friday.
Cincinnati is one stroke back of Ball State (592), followed by Northern Illiinois (588), Kentucky (583) and College of Charleston at eighth (580).
The squad has four tournaments this year in which it saved its best for last, including the All-America Intercollegiate in Houston its last time out.
