CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer program hits the road for the second time this season to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas on Sunday inside CMU Soccer Complex.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. and fans can follow all the action on the team's social media accounts as well as live stats here.

The Bearcats and Chippewas meet for the fourth time overall and second in Mount Pleasant. Cincinnati leads the series 2-0-1 with the last matchup resulting in a tie in 2023.

// THAT 2-0 FEELING
Cincinnati is 2-0 for the first time since 2017.

Junior Coley Sidloski continues to shine in her first season repping the Bearcats, scoring the first goal in the season opener last Thursday. She also scored the first goal during the spring season and Cincinnati's exhibition against Northern Kentucky.

Fifth years Vyviene Spaulding and Ellie Flower each recorded goals against Toledo, securing the road win for UC.

Freshmen Rylee Felton, Anna Barber and Carly Oubs earned their first collegiate starts against the Rockets. Felton notched her first collegiate goal against Murray State.

// SCOUTING THE CHIPPEWAS
Central Michigan comes into the match 0-1 after dropping its season opener to Kentucky.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Jeremy Groves, Central Michigan has consistently presented strong challenges to teams from power conferences such as the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and SEC. Notably, they achieved a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over his alma mater Kentucky during the 2019 season.

Redshirt senior Jaelyn Dobrowolski, who started every match of her career through the first 35 games and was named the 2020-21 Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year, saw her 2022 season cut short after just eight matches despite contributing five points and a game-winning goal against Detroit Mercy. She made a comeback last season against Western Michigan after a 17-game hiatus, scoring two goals in the final nine games of the season.

Protecting the goal, redshirt senior Allison LaPoint was second in the MAC last season with 5.6 saves per game this season. Her total of 84 saves is also second in the MAC, though in at least two fewer appearances than any of the next five in the ranking.

// CLIFTON CONFIDENCE
Head coach Erica Demers and her staff adopted a saying at the beginning of the season to help the team adapt to the changes at hand and embody the team's mindset and playing style, which is to play with "Clifton Confidence."

The effect of Clifton Confidence became a reality during the match against then-ranked No. 6 BYU, where the team went and shocked the Cougars and 5,000 fans in attendance, walking away with a 1-1 draw against one of the best scoring teams in the nation, and a team that advanced to the 2023 College Cup Final Four.

// NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
The Bearcats 2024 roster features eight freshman and three transfers. Coley Sidloski (Ohio State), Ashlyn Basinger (Maryland) and Jenna Daveler (Old Dominion) all come with previous collegiate experience.

During the spring season, Sidloski was an immediate spark for the Bearcats scoring two goals in two games. She also scored the first goal in Cincinnati's exhibition match against the Northern Kentucky Norse.
