CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer program battled to a draw, 1-1, with Louisville on Thursday evening inside Gettler Stadium.

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer program battled to a draw, 1-1, with Louisville on Thursday evening inside Gettler Stadium.

Freshman Rylee Felton was instrumental in pushing the pace in the first half. Fifth year Ellie Flower contributed to the action notching three shots on goals.

In total, the Bearcats had two corner kicks and held the advantage in shots (5-3) in the first 45 minutes of play.

After the break, Louisville broke away with a goal by junior Karsyn Cherry in the 52nd minute.

Felton continued to be a force for the Bearcats in the second half, netting the equalizer in the 65th minute. After Flower's shot was blocked, Felton buried the goal off her right foot to the back left corner. This marks her second consecutive match with a goal and third overall of her freshman campaign.

Fifth year goalkeeper Anna Rexford recorded two saves, giving her 11 on the season.

The Bearcats are back in action on Sunday as they host Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m. at Gettler Stadium.
