TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer program fell to Arizona, 2-0, inside Mulcahy Stadium on Thursday night.
The Bearcats move to 5-5-1 (1-3) while the Wildcats improved to 7-3-1 (2-2).
Arizona dominated possession throughout the first half, scoring two goals within the first 20 minutes, with just 38 seconds between them. Fifth years Ellie Flower and Lauren Bastian, alongside junior Megan Smith recorded one shot each but were unable to find the back of the net.
Cincinnati attempted to rally in the second half but could not register a shot on goal. Fifth year goalkeeper Anna Rexford recorded two saves.
The Bearcats will remain on the road as they travel to Tempe to take on the Sun Devils on Sunday night. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. ET.
