Cincinnati Welcomes Colorado on Thursday

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team begins its final homestand of the season with a pair of matches this week, beginning with Colorado at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team begins its final homestand of the season with a pair of matches this week, beginning with Colorado at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

// SERIES HISTORY
This will be the third overall meeting between the two programs with Colorado leading the series, 2-1. The last meeting was in 2016 where Cincinnati claimed a 2-0 win.
 
// YOU GET A GOAL, YOU GET A GOAL!
  • Against Houston, Cincinnati boasted four different goal-scorers for the first time this season, while also surpassing their previous total team goals of 17 from last season.
  • A total of nine different players have recorded at least one goal this season with freshman Rylee Felton (6) and fifth year Ellie Flower (5) leading the way.
  • The Bearcats' four goal performance marked the most in a single game since the 2022 season.
// A SPECIAL GOAL ON A SPECIAL DAY
  • Junior Coley Sidloski secured Cincinnati's victory over Kansas State by scoring her lone goal in the honorary "We Play For 3" game, named after her sister, and former Bearcat, Ally. 
// GOALKEEPIN' IT REAL
  • Fifth-year goalkeeper Anna Rexford has been instrumental in the last 15 matches, playing every minute.
  • Thursday's match will mark Rexford's 80th consecutive start as a Bearcat. She currently is ranked eighth in the nation for minutes played by a goalie (7,142.33) in their career.
  • With the 0-0 draw against Iowa State, Rexford earned her 17th career shutout, second of the season, and moved into the fourth spot in program history.
  • Against the Cyclones, Rexford earned her first career penalty kick save.
  • She recorded a career-high eight saves vs. Butler.
  • Against Xavier, Rexford finished with five total saves. This marked the 21st game of her career with five or more saves.
  • She has 41 saves on the year and 246 in her career, the fifth-most in program history. 
// A WIN WOULD...
  • Tie up the overall series vs. Colorado.
  • Be Cincinnati's second-straight win against Colorado.
  • Give UC its first win over a newly added Big 12 program. 
// LAST TIME OUT
  • Cincinnati fell to Oklahoma State, 1-0 on Sunday inside Neal Patterson Stadium.
  • Oklahoma State opened scoring in the 26th minute with a goal from Alex Morris. Fifth year goalkeeper Anna Rexford notched four saves in the first half and remained in goal for the full match.
  • Junior Claire Rea and fifth year Lauren Bastian led the offense with two shots apiece. Each earned their third-straight game recording one or more shots.
  • UC had a late surge of energy when Bastian fired a shot aimed for the top right corner of the goal, but it was saved by OSU's Grace Gordan.
