CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team returns to Gettler Stadium to host the Houston Cougars on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

// SERIES HISTORY
These two programs will meet for the 11th time overall. Cincinnati leads the series 5-3-2 and claimed the last matchup in 2022, 2-0.

// LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati fell to Arizona State, 3-1, inside Sun Devil Soccer Stadium on Sunday evening.  

Despite a last-minute goal from fifth-year Ellie Flower, the Bearcats (5-6-1, 1-4) fell short against the Sun Devils (7-2-3, 2-2-1) in their inaugural matchup.

Flower led Cincinnati with one goal and two shots, while fifth year goalkeeper Anna Rexford recorded two saves.

Flower's fourth goal on the season came in the 85th minute from a pass by junior Coley Sidloski and senior Emma Schmelzer.

Cincinnati junior defenders Maddie Swingle, Jenna Daveler and junior forward Faith Broering remained on the pitch for the full 90 minutes of play.

// FELTON'S ON FIRE
Freshman Rylee Felton was named Co-Freshman of the Week by the Big 12 for the week of 9/4, marking her first weekly accolade and Cincinnati's first of the season.

She leads the Big 12 in game-winning goals (three), sits fifth in total goals (six) and is eighth in points (13).

The Milford, Mich. native has been outstanding in her debut season, scoring in four consecutive matches, including the equalizer against Louisville and a pair of goals against Eastern Michigan.  She leads the team with six goals, 13 points, and a .625 SOG%.

// GOALKEEPIN' IT REAL
Fifth-year goalkeeper Anna Rexford has been instrumental in the last 12 matches, playing every minute.

She recorded a career-high eight saves and her 16th career shutout vs. Butler and sits sixth all-time in career saves (236).

Against Xavier, Rexford finished with five total saves. This marked the 21st game of her career with five or more saves.

The Bearcats boast six different goal scorers and are just one shy of surpassing the total team goals recorded in the entire 2023 season (17).

// A SPECIAL GOAL ON A SPECIAL DAY
Junior Coley Sidloski secured Cincinnati's victory over Kansas State by scoring her lone goal in the honorary "We Play For 3" game, named after her sister, and former Bearcat, Ally.
