CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer program fell to No. 19/25 Texas Tech on Sunday afternoon.

Postgame, seniors Payton Hasse, Laura Zemberyova, Brooke Brown, Iris Schuh, Emma Schmelzer, and Paige Miller were celebrated on Senior Day, surrounded by family, friends, teammates, and Bearcat fans. Fifth-years Anna Rexford, Ellie Flower, Vyviene Spaulding and Lauren Bastian were also recognized.

With the loss, the Bearcats fall to 6-8-3 (2-6-2), while the Red Raiders improve to 13-2-2 (8-0-2). Both teams fought hard throughout the match, but Texas Tech managed to score three goals, with two coming in the second half.

Cincinnati recorded three corner kicks and four shots, led by freshman Jada Arthurs, who had two attempts. In the 80th minute, Texas Tech was awarded a penalty kick, successfully extending their lead to 2-0.

In her final appearance at Gettler Stadium, fifth-year goalkeeper Anna Rexford made four saves, marking her fourth consecutive game with that number, and she achieved her 81st straight start.

The Bearcats will conclude their regular season on the road, facing UCF in Orlando, Fla., on Friday at 6 p.m.
