CINCINNATI -- For the first time since Oct. 9, the Cincinnati men's golf team will be in active competition when it plays the two-day Colleton River Collegiate that begins Sunday.
Cincinnati's fall finale, the Quail Valley Invitational in Vero Beach, Fla., was canceled due to Hurricane Milton. Like that one, the Colleton River is also hosted by Michigan State.
This tournament has become a mainstay for the Bearcats, marking four-straight seasons. Last year saw Ryan Ford finish with an 11-under 205 put him one stroke away from the tournament title.
Cincinnati is ranked 56th nationally. Ford, Connor McNeely, Michael Senn III, William McDonald and Rylan Wotherspoon will rep the Bearcats.
Ford leads UC with a 70.33 stroke average over the fall, including a 65 as part of his Bearcat Invitational championship. Senn is second at 71.33, followed by McNeely at 71.55. Cincinnati had its best round at the end of each of its three tournaments, with the fourth being Big 12 match play.
Competiting teams are Rutgers, East Tennessee State, Missouri, Chattanooga, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Wake Forest, Ohio State, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, Iowa State, Memphis and Penn State.
