CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati football team announced three transfer additions on Thursday. Defensive linemen Elijah Gunn and Isaiah Rogers join wide receiver Isaiah Johnson as the newest Bearcats.
 
They join offensive lineman Joe Cotton and linebacker Darrell Gipson as spring transfer portal additions.
 
Gunn played two seasons at Southern Illinois, collecting 19 tackles in 2024. The LaGrange, Ga. native redshirted in 2023 and was a two-time all-state selection in high school. 
 
Rogers comes to UC from Monmouth, where he was an All-CAA honoree in 2024 after starting every game at defensive tackle. In 2024 he had 50 tackles, four QB hurries, two pass breakups, and 1.5 tackles for loss. Rogers also played in 11 games in 2023, logging 18 tackles and two TFL, and he spent two seasons at Central Michigan before transferring to Monmouth. He earned first team all-state, all-area, and all-conference honors in 2019 at Academy Park High School. 
 
Johnson joins the Bearcats from Western Carolina. In 11 games in 2024 he logged 24 receptions for 303 yards and five touchdowns. His best performance of the season came at Delaware, when he had six catches for 117 yards and two scores. A talented athlete, Johnson lettered in basketball and track and field in high school and won a state title in the long jump.
