Cincinnati Ends Day One Action at Louisville Invitational

The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams ended day one competition at the Louisville Invitational hosted at the Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park on Friday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Cincinnati men's and women's track and field teams ended day one competition at the Louisville Invitational hosted at the Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park on Friday.
 
The Bearcats notched five new all-time top 10 marks.
 
Sophomore sprinter Davenae Fagan continues to move up the ranks in the UC record book as she notched second place in the 200m dash. Fagan clocked a blazing time of 23.14 seconds, which ties her with teammate Kya Epps for the third fastest time in Cincinnati history. The Stone Mountain, Ga., natives' split is the 32nd fastest in Division I.
 
Freshman Calvin Kilgallon ran his way into the record book after earning third place in the 800m. Kilgallon logged a time of 1:50.06, moving him to eighth all-time in UC history. In his second appearance as a Bearcat, freshman Isaiah Ballard leaped 1.95m to earn a second-place finish in the high jump.
 
Just a week after securing the seventh-fastest 400m hurdle performance in UC history with a 51.99-second mark, junior Camden Beatty shaved it down to 51.72 seconds, placing third in the event. Beatty's mark moves him to fifth all-time.
 
Graduate student Astley Davis now owns the ninth-longest long jump in Bearcat history. Davis claimed second place with a leap of 7.52m. Registering a season-best split of 1:49.71, sophomore Gianni Allwein took home second place in the 800m.
 
Freshman thrower Tyler Thompson unloaded an impressive throw of 57.20m to secure sixth place in the event. Thompson etched his name into the record book with this mark. He now sits at 10th in program history.
 
The Bearcats will continue competing in Louisville and will start up action again at the Penn Relays tomorrow. The men's discus will get things started at 9 a.m. ET in Louisville, while the women's discus sparks the action in Philadelphia at 9:30 a.m. ET.
