COLUMBIA, Mo. — Ryan Ford maintained his strong consistency by finishing second out of 99 golfers, and freshman Leo Wessel produced a career-low, 3-under 67 to help Cincinnati to tie for fifth out of 18 teams.

It was Cincinnati's sixth tournament in which its final round was its best one, and it marked back-to-back tournaments in which it the second round had to be resumed prior to the final. The Bearcats, seventh after the first round, were one stroke behind Kansas State for fourth and bested No. 26 UNLV on the week.

Wessel had a bogey-free finale for his third top-15 finish of the last four events. His other 67 came in the Johnnie-O, which UC won down in Georgia. For Ford, it was his highest ranking since being the Bearcat Invitational champion in September. He now has six top-five finishes in his three years at Cincinnati.

William McDonald carded a 2-under 68 in the second round and ultimately finished 34th. Connor McNeely rounded it out with a 10-over 220 to tie for 43rd.

The Bearcats will head to the Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Mississippi, Monday and Tuesday for its final competition before the Big 12 Championships.
