CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati cross country teams are set for their second event of the fall: the 44th annual Spartan Invite/B1G Preview, presented by Auto-Owners Insurance, at the Forest Akers East Golf Course on Friday morning.

The men's 8k begins at 9 a.m., followed by the women's 6k at 9:40 a.m. There are five Big Ten teams on the men's side and seven on the women's, in addition to the Bearcats, Grand Valley State and other local teams.

Two weeks ago, Cincinnati dominated the three-team RedHawk Rumble in Oxford, featuring Miami (OH) and Dayton.

Ann Lemirisho's 16:54.5 mark won the women's field, backed up by three other Bearcats in the top-five: Claire Curtsinger, Abby Sewell and Christina Allen.

Nickson Kogei, who like Lemirisho is a first-year newcomer from Kenya, ran unattached and had a 14:30.2 clip. Lucas Towne was the top in UC gear at 14:38.8, followed by Seth Elking and Gianni Allwein in the top-five.
