CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati men's golf team is set for its second tournament of the fall and a return to the friendly confines of Coldstream Country Club with the Bearcat Invitational on Monday.
The two-day event begins at 9 a.m. each day. Admission is open. Live scoring is available here.
Participating teams include Arkansas, Augusta, Furman, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Little Rock, Louisville, Maryland, Memphis, Nebraska, Ohio State, Sam Houston, TCU, UCF, UNC Greensboro and South Florida.
The Bearcats will trot out Ryan Ford, Leo Wessel, Rylan Wotherspoon, Connor McNeely and Connor Cassano, its same lineup as last week. Ole Miss sophomore transfer Davis Gochenauer and freshmen Brayden Miller and River Stilley will all compete individually as well.
Cincinnati tied for third out of 15 teams at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Michigan last week, which featured a challenging course and field, including finishing ahead of preseason No. 8 Florida State. The Bearcats were 15-over on the first day and went 4-under combined over the final two rounds for the impressive rally.
Leo Wessel tied for second with a 3-under 210, including back-to-back 3-under 68s to pace the team's strong finish.
Last year's Bearcat Invitational saw Ryan Ford claim the individual title, while UC finished second. The Bearcats were fourth in 2023 and won it in 2022, and there was no event the prior two years due to course renovations and COVID, respectively.
