// LAST TIME OUT

The University of Cincinnati women’s soccer team played to a draw, 1-1, against Pittsburgh on Thursday night at Ambrose Urbanic Field.

Sophomore Rylee Felton made the first threatening shot of the night but got a quick response from Pittsburgh, who scored one minute later in the eighth minute. It was the only shot from the Panthers in the first half.

Coley Sidloski fought back to even the score at the 27-minute mark. Felton fed Sidloski from midfield and the senior netted her first goal of the season.

The Bearcats showed out on offense, outshooting the Panthers 11-5. Felton had a season high of five shots, while Claire Rea and Jada Arthurs added two each, and Anna Barber and Christa Gibbons recorded one apiece.

Four of Pittsburgh’s shots came after the half with no shots on goal.

// RETURNING STRENGTH

Cincinnati brings back eight starters from last season, including Emma Gioffre, Faith Broering, and Megan Smith, each of whom started all 19 matches. Twelve of UC’s 17 returners appeared in double-digit games for the Red & Black.

While the Bearcats will miss five-year starting goalkeeper Anna Rexford, they return their entire defensive line, featuring Broering, Oubs, Swingle, and Daveler.

// NEW CATS ON THE BLOCK

The Bearcats welcome four transfers and eight freshmen to the 2025 roster. Cincinnati's freshman class includes Lexi O'Shea, Christa Gibbons, Ava "AJ" Hendrick, Kailey Shannon, Lily DiBernardo, Dru Dorsey and twins Kayla and Bryana Gaynor.

Transfers Camryn Miller (Virginia), Molly Cochran (Louisville), Karson Yon (Minnesota) and Joy Kimwemwe (USF) also join the Bearcats.

Sophomore Rylee Felton is two goals away from reaching 10 in her career.
