CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati men’s golf team concludes its fall schedule at The Bryson Invitational starting Monday at Daniel Island Club in Daniel Island, S.C. The 54-hole, 15-team event includes 18 holes of play on Daniel Island’s Ralston Creek course each day through Wednesday.
Cincinnati’s lineup will consist of Ryan Ford, Leo Wessel, Connor McNeely, Rylan Wotherspoon and Brayden Miller.

The tournament is the last of five fall events for the Bearcats, who are receiving votes in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll released Oct. 10. Cincinnati posted a tie for third at the Folds of Honor Collegiate to open the fall, and followed that with a resounding, 11-stroke victory at the Bearcat Invitational, a fifth-place standing at the Jim DeLapa Collegiate and a fourth-place finish at the Cullan Brown Collegiate so far this season.

Tournament History: The Bryson Invitational at Daniel Island is a premier collegiate men’s golf tournament hosted by the Matt Bryson Foundation. The mission of the Matt Bryson Foundation is to serve as a trusted resource for collegiate student-athletes through impactful mentorship programs.
The Course: The 7,446-yard, par-72 Ralston Creek course at Daniel Island is a classic Lowcountry layout designed by Rees Jones and opened in 2006. Against a backdrop of natural saltwater marsh and tidal creek vistas, the course includes strategically placed, sculpted fairway bunkers, diversely contoured greens and greenside bunkers placed to protect championship pin positions.
The Field: Along with Cincinnati the 15-team field includes BYU, College of Charleston, Duke, Houston, Kansas, Liberty, UNC Charlotte, Seton Hall, South Carolina, TCU, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Wisconsin and Wofford.
BEARCATS IN 2025-26
Through four tournaments, senior Ryan Ford leads the Bearcats with a 69.73 scoring average and three-consecutive top-10 finishes, while sophomore Leo Wessel sits second with a 70.09 average and a pair of top-10s. Seniors Connor McNeely and Rylan Wotherspoon also have participated in all four events in the Bearcat lineup, matching each other with a 71.64 average.
Ford and Wessel have each played six of their 11 rounds under par.
CINCINNATI RUNS AWAY WITH BEARCAT INVITATIONAL
Three Bearcats finished in the top 10 and Cincinnati tallied three-consecutive rounds at 6-under par en route to an 11-stroke victory over an 18-team field at the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club Sept. 16.
The host Bearcats, who won the event for the second time in four years, were paced by McNeely and Wessel, who tied for sixth at 4-under, and Ford, who finished a stroke back in a tie for ninth. All five Bearcats finished in the top 14 of the event.
