LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Cincinnati men’s and women’s swimming and diving program fell to the Kentucky Wildcats inside Lancaster Aquatic Center on Friday evening.
The women’s team fell 92-204, while the men’s team fell short 110-186.
Cincinnati started off with an event win in the women’s 200 medley relay, including Ellie Schrank, Joleigh Crye, Kate Mardis and Lindi Worrell with a time of 1:39.32.
Crye led the women’s team by notching first-place in the 50-yard freestyle (22.38) and contributing to the 200-yard medley relay victory. Worrell had strong performances in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.05) and in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.15), finishing second and third, respectively.
Kyle Bumgardner grabbed the only event win on the men's side in the 400-yard IM (3:53.75). Owen Chiles recorded two second-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (43.74) and in the 100-yard backstroke (47.50).
Ramez Diaa secured first for the 1-meter dive (333.90) and the 3-meter dive (380.10). Noah Green took third in both the 1-meter (341.93) and 3-meter (285.53) dives.
