- The 2025-26 campaign marks the 125th season of competition for Cincinnati men’s basketball, and the Bearcats will commemorate the milestone with a year-long celebration honoring the program’s rich history, iconic players and cultural legacy. Cincinnati men’s basketball, which was named a top-10 program in college basketball history by the Associated Press, boasts 44 All-Americans, 41 conference titles, six Final Four appearances and back-to-back national championships across its history, which dates back to the 1901-02 season.
- Cincinnati, allowing just 65.6 points per game defensively, ranks sixth nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom. Cincinnati also ranks fourth in the country in non-steal turnover percentage (10.9%), seventh in opponent offensive rebound percentage (23.7%) and 13th in block percentage (15.6%).
- Cincinnati has found itself playing with pace offensively and forcing its opponents to play more deliberately on the opposite end. The Bearcats sit 38th nationally in average offensive possession length at 15.7 seconds and their opponents are taking 17.7 seconds per possession on the other end, good for 268th-fastest nationally.
- The Bearcats rank second in the Big 12 in 3-point attempts per game (28.7), third in opponent field goal percentage (39.3%), third in opponent 3-point percentage (30.2%), fourth in blocks per game (5.2), fourth in turnovers forced per game (14.57), fifth in 3-pointers per game (9.3) and fifth in defensive rebounds per game (28.00).
- Despite missing the NJIT and Eastern Michigan games with an injury, senior forward Baba Miller sees himself among the best nationally and in the Big 12. Miller is tied for 13th nationally and second in the Big 12 in double-doubles with seven, first in the country with 8.75 defensive rebounds per contest and sixth in the country and first in the conference with 11.3 total rebounds per game. He ranks leads the nation in defensive rebounding percentage at 32.7%.
- Graduate guard Day Day Thomas ranks third in the Big 12 and 16th nationally with a 46.3% 3-point percentage, while leading the Big 12 and ranking third in the country with a 95.1% free-throw percentage.
- Tuesday’s game will be a homecoming for Bearcats Sencire Harris and Kerr Kriisa. Harris transferred to UC after spending a year suiting up for the Mountaineers, while Kriisa arrived in Clifton after spending the 2023-24 season in Morgantown, with a stop at Kentucky in between. Harris started 32 games for the Mountaineers last season, averaging 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, dishing out 51 assists and recording 54 steals. Kriisa started 23 games in his season in Morgantown, recording 11.0 points and 4.7 assists per game.

Senior guard Honor Huff leads West Virginia with 16.6 points per contest and is shooting 40% from deep.
