The Cincinnati men’s golf team climbed five spots into 19th place at 14-over after the second round of The Goodwin Friday at Stanford Golf Course. BYU and UCLA are tied atop the leaderboard at 12-under with 18 holes to play.

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Cincinnati men’s golf team climbed five spots into 19th place at 14-over after the second round of The Goodwin Friday at Stanford Golf Course. BYU and UCLA are tied atop the leaderboard at 12-under with 18 holes to play.

Results

Senior Ryan Ford had an up-and-down second round on his way to a 1-over 71 and a tie for 39th. Ford was 2-over through six before two-straight birdies pulled him back to even-par. But three bogeys offset two birdies for a back-nine 1-over 36.

Freshman Brayden Miller tied his career low with a 1-under 69, with three birdies against a pair of bogeys and sits in a tie for 60th through 36 holes. He’s tied with senior Connor McNeely, who carded an even-par 70 with a team-high five birdies against three bogeys and a double.

Sophomores Connor Cassano and Leo Wessel each recorded a 3-over 73 and sit in a tie for 107th at 7-over through 36 holes.

As a team, the Bearcats ranked second in the 30-team field with 114 pars and tied for third in par-3 scoring at 5-over through 36 holes. Individually, Miller leads the 160-competitor field with 28 pars.

Final-round tee times get underway at 10 a.m. ET Saturday.
