TicketsRALEIGH, N.C. -- Lucas Towne jumped from seventh to sixth in the 5,000-meter record books to highlight Cincinnati first day of the outdoor season.
Towne beat his PR by 10 seconds in his excellent season debut. Fellow distance mate Seth Elking set his own PR in the 1,500-meter, nearly overtaking assistant coach Jed Helker for the No. 2 spot.
Emarie Jackson made her UC debut after transferring from Delaware in between semesters.
Matthew Rusch (shot put), Omolola Kuponiyi and Sydney Foglesong also participated in the shot put to round out Thursday's action.
