PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Cincinnati men’s golf team vaulted five spots on the final day of The Goodwin, tying for 14th at 10-over for the event at Stanford Golf Course. The Bearcats went 4-under in the final round, behind Georgia Tech, which went 7-under and tournament host Stanford, which went 6-under on the day and 17-under for the tournament for the team title.
Senior Ryan Ford used six birdies en route to a final-round 3-under 67 for a tie for 19th at 2-under for the tournament. Freshman Brayden Miller carded a career-low 66 behind two eagle and a trio of birdies to finish 1-under in a tie for 26th.
Sophomore Connor Cassano tied his career best with a 1-under 69 to tie for 71st at 6-over, while senior Connor McNeely notched a 6-over for the day en route to a tie for 99th at 9-over. Sophomore Leo Wessel went 4-over for the day and 11-over for the tournament in a tie for 113th.
For the event, Miller tied for second in the 160-competitor field with 39 pars.
The Bearcats will be off until April 13-14 when they travel to Starkville, Miss., for the Mossy Oak Collegiate.
