CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati men’s golf team travels to Texas for the NCAA Bryan Regional starting Monday at Traditions Club. The 54-hole event will feature tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. ET Monday through Wednesday.
The low five teams and low individual from each region will qualify for a spot in the championship finals. Thirty teams and six individuals in total will compete in the finals May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
Cincinnati’s lineup will consist of Ryan Ford, Brayden Miller, Leo Wessel, Connor Cassano and Connor McNeely.

NOTEWORTHY
Tournament History: This is the second time the Bearcats will tee it up in NCAA play after finishing eighth in the NCAA Las Vegas Regional in 2023. Two current Bearcats participated as freshmen in that NCAA Regional in 2023. Ryan Ford finished in a tie for 30th at Bear’s Best, while Rylan Wotherspoon tied for 44th.
The Course: The par-72, 7,227-yard Traditions Club was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 2004. Turkey Creek, along with rolling hills, makes the layout a test from the tee box, with the course featuring hardwoods, natural creeks and wetlands, alongside vistas of Kyle Field and the Texas A&M University skyline.
The Field: Along with No. 10 seed Cincinnati, the 14-team field includes top-seeded Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, New Mexico, Texas A&M, TCU, UNCW, UNLV, Colorado, Chattanooga, Miami (Ohio), UTRGV and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
BEARCATS IN 2025-26
At the conclusion of the Big 12 Championship, senior Ryan Ford leads the Bearcats with a 70.15 scoring average and four top-10 finishes, while sophomore Leo Wessel sits second among regulars with a 72.00 average and three top-10s. Senior Connor McNeely also has participated in all 11 events with a 73.27 average, while freshman Brayden Miller has played in all but one event, notching a 72.06 average.
Ford has played 16 of his 33 rounds under par, while half of Miller’s last 16 have been played at even-par or better.
As a team, the Bearcats, have top-five finishes in five of their 11 tournaments, including a victory at the Bearcat Invitational Sept. 15-16 at Coldstream Country Club.
FORD NAMED ALL-BIG 12 SECOND TEAM, KEEPS CLIMBING UP PGA TOUR U RANKINGS
Ryan Ford, was named an All-Big 12 Second Team selection May 11, has moved to 40th in the latest PGA TOUR University rankings released May 13.
Ford, who is on pace to shatter the Bearcats’ career scoring average mark set by Sam Jean, has been a mainstay in Cincinnati’s lineup all season. The Westfield, Ind., native who has a program-record 10 career top-10 finishes, leads the Bearcats with a 70.15 stroke average in 2025-26. Ford has four top-10’s as a senior and has finished in the top 20 in all 11 events this season.
In partnership with the World Amateur Golf Ranking, PGA TOUR University ranks players based on the last two years of their collegiate careers. Eligible Tournaments include NCAA Division I men’s team competitions, official PGA TOUR tournaments and select DP World Tour events. The ranking period for the Class of 2026 began Week 23/2024 and concludes June 1, 2026, following the final round of stroke play at the NCAA D-I Men’s National Championship. At the conclusion of stroke play at the NCAA D-I Men’s National Championship, the top 25 eligible players in the final PGA TOUR University Ranking will earn status on the PGA TOUR, Korn Ferry Tour, or PGA TOUR Americas.
CINCINNATI RUNS AWAY WITH BEARCAT INVITATIONAL
Three Bearcats finished in the top 10 and Cincinnati tallied three-consecutive rounds at 6-under par en route to an 11-stroke victory over an 18-team field at the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club Sept. 16.
The host Bearcats, who won the event for the second time in four years, were paced by McNeely and Wessel, who tied for sixth at 4-under, and Ford, who finished a stroke back in a tie for ninth. All five Bearcats finished in the top 14 of the event.
