TicketsCINCINNATI — Cincinnati senior offensive lineman Evan Tengesdahl has been named to the 2026 Preseason Watch List for the prestigious Lombardi Award, the committee announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lombardi Award annually honors the nation's top college football lineman or linebacker who best exemplifies the character, discipline, grit, and leadership of Hall of Fame coach Vince Lombardi. Tengesdahl is one of 54 standouts selected nationwide and one of just six representatives from the Big 12—spotlighting the nation's premier line play and defensive talent.
Tengesdahl enters the 2026 campaign as PFF’s No. 2 returning offensive guard in college football following a dominant 2025 season. He posted an 85.4 overall grade and led all Power Four guards with an 89.7 run-blocking mark. Tengesdahl allowed zero sacks across 408 pass-blocking snaps, led all Power Four guards with 10 big-time blocks, and finished as the nation's most valuable returning Power Four guard according to PFF’s Wins Above Average metric.
His inclusion on the Lombardi Award watch list adds to a decorated summer of national accolades for the Bearcats' standout guard, including the Outland Trophy watch list, Allstate Wuerffel Trophy watch list and Preseason All-America honors from Walter Camp, Phil Steele, On3, Pro Football Network and Athlon Sports, as well as a selection to the preseason All-Big 12 team.
