TicketsCINCINNATI — Cincinnati senior offensive lineman Evan Tengesdahl has been named a First-Team Preseason All-American by the Associated Press, as announced by the AP voting panel on Tuesday.
Tengesdahl is one of just two Big 12 offensive linemen selected to the AP Preseason First Team, joining Houston's Shadre Hurst.
The Dayton, Ohio native anchors the offensive line for a Bearcats unit that returns as one of the premier offensive lines in the nation. Tengesdahl is coming off a stellar 2025 campaign where he started all 13 games at left guard and finished as Pro Football Focus's top-rated guard in the Big 12 with an 82.8 overall rating. His dominant play helped lead Cincinnati to a Joe Moore Award semifinalist selection after allowing just eight sacks all season, the second-fewest in the country.
The prestigious AP First-Team honor adds to Tengesdahl’s impressive list of 2026 preseason recognition, which includes spots on the Outland Trophy Watch List, Lombardi Award Watch List and Preseason All-America selections by The Sporting News, Walter Camp, Phil Steele, On3, and Athlon Sports, as well as the Preseason All-Big 12 team.
