TicketsCINCINNATI — Cincinnati senior offensive lineman Evan Tengesdahl has been named a First-Team Preseason All-American by The Athletic.
The Athletic highlighted Tengesdahl's rise from a three-star recruit out of Dayton, Ohio, to a premier anchor on the Bearcats' line. After earning AP All-America Third Team honors in 2025 while starting all 13 games at left guard, Tengesdahl enters the 2026 campaign ranked as the No. 4 draft-eligible interior offensive line prospect by NFL Draft analyst Dane Brugler.
His dominant play in 2025 saw him earn an 82.8 overall rating from Pro Football Focus—highest among Big 12 guards—while helping lead a Cincinnati line that surrendered just eight sacks all season, the second-fewest in FBS football.
The First-Team nod from The Athletic continues a sweep of national preseason accolades for Tengesdahl, who has also garnered First-Team Preseason All-America honors from the Associated Press and The Sporting News, in addition to selections by Walter Camp, Phil Steele, On3, and Athlon Sports.
