Cincinnati Finishes Sixth at Oregon Duck Invitational

The Cincinnati men’s golf team climbed two spots in its final round to finish sixth in a strong field at the Oregon Duck Invitational Tuesday at Eugene Country Club. The Bearcats went 22-over for the event, two strokes back of fifth-place St. Mary’s. Illinois won the tournament at 5-over.

EUGENE, Ore. – The Cincinnati men’s golf team climbed two spots in its final round to finish sixth in a strong field at the Oregon Duck Invitational Tuesday at Eugene Country Club. The Bearcats went 22-over for the event, two strokes back of fifth-place St. Mary’s. Illinois won the tournament at 5-over.

Results

Sophomore Leo Wessel carded three birdies in a 1-over final round to jump 44 spots over his last two rounds to tie for seventh at 2-over for the tournament. After a pair of even-par rounds, senior Ryan Ford bogeyed three of his final four holes to card a 3-over 74 to tie for 12.

Freshman Brayden Miller recorded a 4-over 75 to tie for 31st at 7-over, while senior Connor McNeely posted a 3-over 74 final round to tie for 49th at 11-over. Sophomore Connor Cassano rounded out the Bearcats lineup in 54th at 12-over for the event.

Senior Rylan Wotherspoon, playing as an individual, placed in a tie for 61st at 14-over.

As a team, the Bearcats tied for best in the 15-team field in par-4 scoring at 27-over, led with 168 pars and ranked second in par-3 scoring at 11-over. Miller tied for tops in the field with 40 pars and tied for third in par-3 scoring at even-par.

The Bearcats will be back in action Thursday through Saturday at The Goodwin at Stanford Golf Course.
