- Playing for the Amsterdam Mohawks of the New York Collegiate League.
2008 Season (Junior):
- Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 45th round (1,355th overall) of the MLB Draft.
- A second team All-BIG EAST selection.
- Earned a spot on the BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament Team after batting .438 with four home runs and 11 RBI.
- Ranked among the BIG EAST leaders in average (8th), home runs (T-1st), RBI (1st), total bases (2nd) and slugging percentage (1st).
- Set a UC single season record with 21 home runs and tied mark with 79 RBI.
- Also listed on the UC leader boards for total bases (2nd, 163), hits (T-8th, 84) and batting average (16th, .377).
- Led team with 22 multi-RBI games, including three of five or more.
- Had first big performance of season with two home runs and seven RBI against Marshall (3/5). Earned BIG EAST Player of the Week for the effort.
- Hit home runs in bunches with two homer games against Marshall (3/5), Georgetown (4/18), Morehead State (4/23), Xavier (4/30), Wright State (5/13) and Louisville (5/24).
- Listed third on team with 26 multi-hit games, including four-hit performances against Ohio (3/26) and Wright State (5/13).
- Hit .370 with seven home runs and 28 RBI in 27 BIG EAST games.
- Ended April by hitting .432, with six doubles, nine home runs and 32 RBI in 22 games.
- Went on a 12-game hit streak in late April and early May in which he batted .531 with five doubles, six home runs and 23 RBI.
- Named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on April 14 and again on April 21.
Florida Community College: A first team all-conference selection during final season at FCC ... hit .373 with 10 doubles, two triples, six home runs and 35 RBI, while stealing nine bags ... named second team all-state ... was an honorable mention all-conference choice in 2006 after hitting .317 with six doubles, six homers, 48 RBI and 10 stolen bases ... played in the 2006 Florida Community College Athletic Association All-Star Game ... a two-time Mid-Florida Conference Scholar Athlete.
High School: A three-time All-Florida selection at Newberry High School ... was the 3A Player of the Year in the state as a junior ... hit .632 as a junior with eight home runs and 47 RBI ... followed that up with a .451 average, seven homers and 33 RBI as a senior ... successfully stole 68 of 69 bases during prep career.
