- Became the winningest pitcher in school history with his 20th career win against West Virginia (5/16/08).
- Added 21st win in BIG EAST Championship opener vs. West Virginia (5/20/08).
- Also ranks among the UC leaders in career innings (3rd-255.0), starts (6th, 36), strikeouts (7th, 194) and complete games (T-17th, 10).
2008 Season (Junior):
- Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 7th round (216th overall) of the MLB Draft.
- Named to the All-BIG EAST second team.
- Listed among the BIG EAST leaders in wins (T-1st, 9), innings (1st-99.0), complete games and strikeouts (T-5th, 74).
- Tied for third on UC single season wins list and 16th on strikeouts chart.
- Named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week on April 21 after allowing just one run and four hits with nine strikeouts in a win over Georgetown. Strike out count was a season-high.
- Closed season with wins in last eight decisions in a row.
- Tossed complete games in BIG EAST play against Notre Dame (3/29), Pittsburgh (4/11) and Louisville (4/25).
- Showed masterful control, striking out 74 and walking just 10 in 99.0 innings.

2007 Season (Sophomore):

- Named a PING! Baseball All-PING! Team honorable mention.
- One of the BIG EAST's top pitchers, ranking among the leaders in wins (T-3rd, 9), opponents batting average (4th, .223), strikeouts (T-7th, 82) and innings (10th, 94.1).
- Named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week on March 5 after twirling a three-hit shutout with five strikeouts against Dartmouth.
- Earned an honor roll berth on April 9 after a complete game win over Notre Dame.
- Named to the initial watch list for the Roger Clemens Award, honoring the nation's best collegiate pitcher.
- Won six of last seven starts, all in league play. Finished BIG EAST action with a 6-1 record and a 2.45 ERA.
- Struck out career-high 11 in complete game win over Villanova (4/27).
- Threw five complete games to push career total to seven.
- Listed on a trio of school single season lists including: wins (T-3rd), strikeouts (T-7th) and innings (9th).
- Struck out at least five hitters in 11 of 14 starts.
2006 Season (Freshman):
- Moved into the starting rotation in mid-April as the No. 2 starter.
- Won three straight starts with victories over Georgetown (4/22), Louisville (4/29) and Villanova (5/6).
- Tossed complete game at Villanova to earn spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
- Went the distance in BIG EAST Tournament opener against Connecticut (5/23).
- Had career-high five strikeouts on four different occasions, including in first-ever start against USF (4/2).
- Pitched in 13 games, including eight starts, with a 3-3 record and a 5.25 ERA.
High School: Twice named all-conference at Colerain High ... also earned two all-city honors ... holds the school record for career strikeouts with 225 ... ranked as the 31st-best player at his position by Teamonebaseball.com during junior year.
