- Playing for the Quincy Gems of the Central Illinois Collegiate League.
2008 Season (Junior):
- Drew 24 starting assignments, with all but one as the designated hitter.
- Belted six home runs in just 88 at-bats, while driving in 19 runs.
- Homered and drove in four runs during win at Miami (Ohio) (4/8).
- Recorded three hits in two of last five starts of season.
- Hit the third of three consecutive Bearcat home runs in win over Chicago State (3/2).
- Batted .400 in 13 appearances in BIG EAST play.
- Recorded 11 multi-hit and five multi-RBI games.
Junior College: An honorable mention all-conference selection at Butler County Community College ...tied for the team lead in RBI with 46 during 2007 season ... hit .413 during the campaign with 13 doubles and six home runs ... helped squad finish sixth in the nation in 2006 and earn a conference championship a year later.
High School: Earned all-state honors as a senior at Creighton Prep High School ... team won a state championship during junior year and finished runner up in senior season ... finished prep career with a .427 batting average, 37 home runs, 56 doubles and 182 RBI.
Personal: Born Feb. 1, 1987 ... son of Travis and Ann Kennedy ... uncle Jim Haller was a first round pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1970.
