2025 OTF: Competed in five meets... Victorious in the shot put (17.06m) at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational... At the Clark Wood Open he recorded a toss of 15.86m to claim 12th in the shot put... With a throw of 16.12m, he notched 14th at the Jesse Owens Classic.
2025 ITF: Competed in six meets... Recorded four top ten finishes in the shot put... At the Rod McCravy Memorial, he threw a personal best distance of 17.19m in shot put and placed fifth overall... At the Big 12 Championships, he threw a distance of 17.08m in the shot put and placed 16th overall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Fond du lac High School, competed in track and field (Throws, shot put & disc throw) all four years on varsity... Placed ninth in disc throw and 12th in shot put at state in his freshman season... Placed fifth in shot put at state in his sophomore season and was All-State for shot put... Placed fourth in shot put and fourth in disc throw at state his junior season and was a Nike Indoor All-American for shot put, ranked fourth in the USA... Second furthest throw in Wisconsin state history in shot put with 69’6... Placed second in shot put and third in disc throw at state in his senior season... All-state track & and field and track captain during the 2024 season.
PERSONAL: A native of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, born on June 23, 2005...son of Dustin and Jean Rusch, Dustin played defensive line for the University of Wisconsin...Has three brothers, Ben (25), Jack (23) and Alex (21)... Honorable mention all-conference in football...Plans to major in Exercise Science.
