Brandi Thomsen Season 2019

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Brookfield Central High School (Brookfield, Wis.)... capped her senior season with BCHS winning their second state title in as many years… named the 2018 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Wisconsin… also was named the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year and to its all-state first team (2017 and 2018)… 2018 Milwaukee Journal Sentinal Girls Soccer Player of the Year… was a member of the varsity soccer team for four years... played the final three seasons after sitting out her freshman season with an injury... named the Greater Metro Conference Player of the Year in 2017 after helping the team to back-to-back GMC titles... three-time first-team all-conference honoree... has played for three club sides, including Elmbrook United (2017), Strike FC Wisconsin (2018) and Elm Grove SC (2007-17)... academically, earned membership into the National Honors Society and the Spanish Honors Society... named a 2017 AP Scholar with Honors... comes from an athletic family as her mom (Lisa) swam in college for Wisconsin, her brother (Matthew) played golf at the University of the Cumberlands, her cousin (Corey Henne) played football at St. Cloud State, her uncle (Scott Vick) swam at Western Kentucky and grandpa (John Thomsen) played football at Wisconsin-Lacrosse and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2002... has been accepted into UC’s University Honors Program and plans to eventually apply to dental school... selected Cincinnati over Milwaukee and Northwestern.
