Zach Grant enters his third season as the General Manager for the Bearcats. He is responsible for all talent acquisition for the football program, including high school recruiting, the transfer portal and revenue management. 

The FootballScoop.com Player Personnel Director of the Year in 2021 while at Western Kentucky, Grant has held player personnel leadership roles at Ohio State and WKU in addition to Cincinnati. 

Grant has been instrumental in the recruitment and retention of UC's top players since arriving in Clifton in 2023, including starting quarternack Brendan Sorsby, who transferred from Indiana, and All-Big 12 First Team tight end Joe Royer (Ohio State). 

He also helped bring 2024 Freshman All-America linebacker Simeon Coleman to UC.

Grant spent the 2022 season as the Director of Player of Personnel at Ohio State as the Buckeyes secured a standout recruiting class in the December Early Signing Period and advanced to the College Football Playoff Semifinals.
 
He spent five seasons at Western Kentucky, beginning as the nation's youngest Director of Player Personnel at age 23 in 2017. He was elevated to GM in 2021.
 
At WKU, he recruited some of the top players in school history, including Atlanta Falcons third-round pick defensive end DeAngelo Malone and New England Patriots fourth-round selection quarterback Bailey Zappe out of the transfer portal. Zappe set the NCAA record for single-season passing yards (5,967) and touchdowns (62) in 2021.

He recruited five Hilltoppers who were selected in the top four rounds of the NFL Draft. 
 
In seven years leading a personnel department, Grant has helped identify and acquire talent that produced 14 First Team All-Conference selections, 16 Second Team honorees, 51 Honorable Mentions, 18 Freshman All-Conference picks, three Newcomers of the Year (Ty Storey in 2019, Jerreth Sterns in 2021, Austin Reed in 2022), two Defensive Players of the Year (DeAngelo Malone in 2019 and 2021), one Offensive Player of the Year (Caden Veltkamp in 2024) and one Conference Player of the Year (Bailey Zappe in 2021).
 
He graduated from Notre Dame in 2016, serving in several undergraduate roles with the football program. 

He and his wife, Rachel, have a son, Baker.
