He was seventh earlier this fall in the Big East Championships and 13th at the Pre-National Invitational. Finan's win at the regional automatically qualified him for a berth at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships Monday.

- The volleyball team fell to No. 2 seed Louisville, 3-0, in the finals of the BIG EAST Tournament last Sunday in Pittsburgh, Pa. Going into the tournament as the No. 1 seed, Cincinnati defeated No. 8 South Florida in three sets last Friday in the quarterfinals.
