CINCINNATI - Head coach Ty Neal has announced the dates for the University of Cincinnati baseball team's annual Red/Black World Series to cap off the fall practice season. The series will comprise five games over a seven-day period, all at Marge Schott Stadium. Admission to every game of the Red/Black World Series is free.
The first game is slated for 6 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 19 with the second game being played at 6 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 20. After a day off, the teams will come back for the third game at 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The final two games will be played at 3:30 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 24, and at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 25.
Monday's game also will represent Diamond Club Appreciation Day for the team. Members of the Diamond Club are encouraged to come out and get their first glimpse of the 2015 Bearcats. Beverages will be provided.
Assistant coach Adam Bourassa will be the skipper of the Red team while assistant coach John Lackaff will manage the Black team.
The annual Red/Black World Series acts as a showcase to give fans an early opportunity to see the 2015 UC baseball team in action.
