OXFORD, Ohio -- The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams capped a strong weekend at the RedHawk Invitational on Saturday, with the men finishing as runners-up and the women placing in third.
The men scored 2,130.5 points to finish behind champion Denison's 2,314.5 points. UC finished ahead of Wright State, Emory, the host RedHawks and Urbana. The women placed third with 1,523.5 points behind first-place Miami (2,409 points) and runner-up Toledo (1,554 points). The women's squad finished ahead of Emory, Denison, Wright State and Urbana.

Jackie Keire (Burlington, Ont./Nelson) took home first-place points in the 100 freestyle, giving her victories in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 freestyles on the weekend. In today's 100, Keire posted a preliminary round time of 50.36 before finishing the finals in 48.91.
// DEPIETRO TAKES 200 FLY
Freshman Ryan DePietro (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) continued his strong start to his collegiate career by winning the 200 butterfly. DePietro posted a 1:50.62 preliminary time before quickening to 1:49.78 in the finals to edge Wright State's Matthre Dassow by .13 seconds.

The men's team won its third relay in as many days, capturing the 400 freestyle relay to conclude the meet. Connor Davis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) led off, followed by Eitan Holder (Caracas, Venezuela/Aviv (Israel)), Ryan Charbonneau (Broadview Heights, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and Dean Waite (Valrico, Fla./Bloomingdale).
On the first day of competition saw UC take the 200 freestyle relay, while they captured the 800 freestyle relay on day two.
